Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM), a branch campus of the renowned Xiamen University in China, offers internationally recognized degree programs right here in Malaysia. We, as the official Pakistan office of XMUM, are here to support and guide you throughout your journey.

Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) is the first overseas campus set up by a renowned Chinese university and the first Chinese university branch campus in Malaysia. Located in the vicinity of Bandar Kota Warisan, Sepang, Selangor, it's just a 15 minutes ride from the country's administrative center of Putrajaya or 45 km southwest of Kuala Lumpur. It is built on an area of 150 acres with a planned total floor space of 470,000 square meters. XMUM aspires to become a university with a distinct global outlook, which features first-class teaching and research, and embraces cultural diversity. With the exception of Chinese Studies and Traditional Chinese Medicine, the medium of instruction for all other programmes is English.

Admission Requirements

English Language Requirement (No IELTS Needed)

Xiamen University Malaysia offers flexibility for international applicants regarding English proficiency. While standardized tests such as IELTS (minimum 6.0) or TOEFL (minimum 80 iBT) are accepted, they are not mandatory. Any student with a grade C and above in O-level English does not require IELTS. Any student with 60% or above in metric (English subject) to study. Applicants who have completed their previous education in English may submit a Medium of Instruction (MOI) certificate issued by their school or university. In certain cases, students may also be asked to enroll in an English preparatory course prior to commencing their academic program.

Foundation Program

Applicants seeking entry into a Foundation program must meet the following criteria:

• Completion of 10 years of formal education, such as Matriculation (SSC) or O-Level.
• A minimum of five (5) subjects passed, including English and Mathematics.
• Overall academic performance should reflect a minimum average of 60% or equivalent (e.g., C grade in O-Level).

(The Foundation program provides a structured pathway for students to transition into their chosen undergraduate degree.)

Bachelor's Degree Programs

To be considered for admission into an undergraduate (Bachelor's) program, applicants must fulfill one of the following academic qualifications:

• Intermediate (FSc/FA/I.Com) from a recognized board with a minimum of 60% overall marks; or
• GCE A-Level with a minimum of two (2) passes, each with at least a grade D; or
• Equivalent qualifications demonstrating the completion of 12 years of education.

Certain programs, particularly in Engineering, Science, or Technology, may require specific subject combinations such as Mathematics and Physics. English proficiency may be demonstrated through a Medium of Instruction letter if IELTS or TOEFL results are not available.

Master's Degree Programs

Applicants interested in postgraduate (Master's) study must meet the following academic criteria:

• Possession of a recognized Bachelor's degree (equivalent to 16 years of education) in a relevant field of study.
• A minimum CGPA of 2.5 out of 4.0, or its equivalent from a recognized institution.

While work experience is not mandatory, it may enhance the applicant's profile, particularly for professional degree programs such as the MBA.
